Anne Sportun

Driven by her belief in a universal language of shapes and symbols, Toronto, Canada-based jewelry designer Anne Sportun looks to nature for inspiration. Anne Sportun finds perfection in asymmetrical organic forms and subtly translates these images into her work. By allowing pave-set diamonds to undulate on an irregular gold band, Sportun combines traditional goldsmithing techniques with the unconventional.
Anne Sportun’s studio is located in a fast-paced urban environment; however, it is in the quiet of her lakeside cottage retreat where she rejuvenates her creativity by connecting to nature, along with her family and dog.
Awarded in Canada for her excellence in precious-metal work and contemporary design, Sportun has only recently made her work available to the international market. Sportun is currently honored by having the image of her hands and rings on a Canadian 65-cent postage stamp.
